GRAFANA_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_TOKEN
You can use LLM App plugin, which uses latest MCP Server
it’s really good option that auto-provision tokens for you and connect on start-up

so everything is looking good using mcp grafana with

• claude
• vscode MCP Server
Stuff works real good, some glitches are to be expected
when initially creating a dashboard and you instruct it to fix the same dashboard it recreates a whole new dashboard. maybe some prompt engineering issues

something is missing with LLM API and mcp server connection. not sure where you configure all of that. is it connected by default, config changes, feature toggles? off to the docs
